The Cocoa of Excellence programme is pleased to announce the 2019 Edition of the International Cocoa Awards. The Programme is also celebrating its 10th Anniversary. We encourage all actors of the cacao, cocoa and chocolate value-chain to participate. Guidelines for participation are available in English, French and Spanish.

Each participating cocoa-producing country establishes a National Organization Committee that oversees the participation of cocoa producers from their country. They play a crucial role in ensuring that high-quality samples are selected and sent to the Cocoa of Excellence Programme representing the cocoa diversity of the country.

Guidelines to Organise National Cocoa Quality Competitions

The Cocoa of Excellence Programme strongly encourages cocoa producing countries to organize national cocoa quality competitions. This is a unique opportunity to promote high-quality cocoa and diversity at national level and celebrate the skills and know-how of the men and women who produce them. The CoEx Programme produced guidelines that include suggestions for setting up the objectives, announcing the event, selecting the samples, celebrating the winners, providing feedback and participating in the CoEx Programme.
